Hillsborough County Net Control Script – Draft – 12-30-09
Procedure
The net meets each Tuesday at 1900. Net operations are conducted on the Hollis repeater (146.730) except for the first Tuesday of each month which is conducted on Simplex (147.045).
A Net Control Station (NCS) is assigned prior to each net session. Responsibilities of the NCS include calling the Net (see call-up script below), recording check-ins, managing Net operations and providing the AEC Administration with a Net Report, documenting the formal portion of the net, within 24 hours of closing the formal Net; format for the report is provided below.
Each net will have an Alternate NCS (ANCS). Each NCS is responsible for obtaining an ANCS by prior agreement before the net begins, asking for a volunteer as part of callup or picking a station during callup to serve as ANCS. Each HC VHF Net session will be divided into two parts; formal and informal. The formal portion is for ARES business and training only. Upon completion of ARES business, the formal net will be closed. The Alternate NCS will conduct a rollcall as part of closing the formal net during which each station will identify if it will remain on frequency for the informal net. The ANCS will be serve as Net Control for the informal portion of the net.Callup Script
